Frequently asked
What is Nature Skills?+
A curated library of academic and research skills — reading, writing, data analysis, peer review, and more — that you run in your browser against the AI model you choose, billed by the tokens you actually use.
How does pricing work?+
There is no subscription. You buy a pack of tokens, and each run deducts the exact input and output tokens it used, at 90% of the model provider’s official price. You see the estimated cost before you run and the tokens actually used after. Most runs cost a fraction of a cent.
Which AI models can I use?+
You can run any skill on any enabled model from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or DeepSeek — each with its own token price shown in the run panel. Every skill has a sensible default you can change.
What happens to the text I paste?+
Your input is sent to the AI model you select to generate the output and is saved to your run history. We do not sell it or use it to train any model of our own. Please don’t paste text you’re not permitted to share with third-party AI services. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use the output in my paper?+
The output is yours to keep. AI can be wrong, so verify everything, and follow the authorship, disclosure, and peer-review policies of your institution and target venue. You are responsible for how you use it.
Where do the skills come from?+
Skills are curated from open-source repositories; each page links to its source on GitHub where available. Adding a skill is a manual, reviewed step — there is no automated scraping.
